Fine cotton

Cotton production began near the Indian subcontinent around Pakistan and eventually commercially adapted for the production of clothes. Refined cotton is composed of organic fibers from the seed of cotton plants. It’s a highly breathable fabric, which makes it loved by women all around the world. Twill

Twill is a versatile fabric weave that we come across almost every day, from the couch we sit on to our denim jeans from the sofa. Its diagonal lines that create an offset of threads identify this specific weave. Twill is famous due to its high durability and ability to hide stains. It is used for furniture coverings and bags too.

 

Linen

Linen is better in the making of tablecloths, upholstery, curtains, and more. Characterized by its strong sewing thread and made from the fibers of the flax plant, linen can be considered a comfortable choice to put on in scorching weather and is valued highly for use in garments. Linen is a fast-absorbing material that is tailored onto women’s clothes for a fancy finish on gowns.

 

Flannel

Flannel is made from either carded wool or yarn. Modern flannels are made from wool, cotton, or synthetic fiber. It can be woven with either twill and commonly napped or brushed to give it a soft finish that we see. Many materials like quilts, blankets, pajamas, and jumpers are made from flannel.

 

Oxford fabric / Pinpoint fabric

Oxford fabric is a light and lustrous fabric. This high-end fabric is mainly used for making shirts, gowns, and sometimes dresses. It is a fabric made from cotton and contains elastin or a mixture of cotton and polyester. The sheen of this specific fabric is quite desirable and can be used to produce unisex clothes.

 

Chiffon Fabric

Chiffon is made from cotton fibers and synthetic materials like polyester or nylon. Chiffon has a beautiful drape and is quite shimmery; hence it is a popular choice for evening wears, wedding dresses, and high fashion and can be used as an overlay on top of other designs and flowers. Chiffon has recently been adapted into high fashion and can be seen to be worn by runway models.
